I’m not sure what it is.. maybe the Euro environment that I’m currently in… but I can’t stop listening to these French songs:
Coeur De Pirate – Comme Des Enfants (Le Matos Andy Carmichael Remix)
Rating: 8.1/10 –> I may have no idea what is being said in this track but I am sure that it is strung with emotion. This is not to mention that the remix by Le Matos Andy Carmichael is ridiculous.
Sebastian Tellier – L’Amour et la Violence (Allure Remix)
Rating: 8.3/10 –> This is another great remix of a Sebastian Tellier album track. This guy is talented and the DJs who are reproducing have the right idea.
Rating: 8.5/10 –> The most ridiculous song. I’ve been listening to these frenchmen since I first heard of them at Coachella ’08. Not pretending preview this song.
My Boy MTully told me to throw on some Yelle as well. This isn’t an artist that I’m particularly in love with, but I do concede that she has a very interesting sound… it can only be described as French electro-pop and it could definitely take her places in the overseas (American) music scene.
Rating: 5.9/10 –> This song was pretty huge over the summer of ’08. It’s pretty catchy, but I just can’t catch onto Yelle.
Rating: 6.4/10 –> I like this more than Je Veux Te Voir… make sure to listen to the bridge at about 3:15, it makes this track. This is the original song from Yelle in the following Mashup.
Kanye West vs. Yelle – A Cause De Kanye
Rating: 6.9/10 –> A remix that came out when 808′s and Heartbreaks was released in September. Not one of the best remixes off of Kanye’s album, but it does the job.
